“It’s something that’s really important to our football team, there’s no doubt about it,” Maier said of the Redblacks’ latest signing. “I think everybody, at least all the big teams in this league that are winning championships, go into games with the ability to have a deep plan in the quarterback. So, I’m not, yeah, I don’t know that at all. It’s going to be something that will help me, maybe personally, because I’ve always respected his game, and I think he’s the type of player. Like, OK, a guy that’s definitely going to hang in there and deliver. Now I get a front row seat and pick his brain a little bit.
