US President Donald Trump’s visit to Beijing on May 13 was Xi Jinping’s 18th meeting with the US president since he became China’s leader in 2013. Previously, Xi had talks with presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, as well as Trump during the US leader’s first term. In comparison, Xi has had more than 40 physical meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin during that period.
